NSR 105

Interesting Facts!

The NSR studio was once threatened with fire bombing by Eamon Cooke on Radio Dublin’s ‘Station News’.

Power supplied to the NSR studio was via ESB cabling provided by ESB in Sandyford (not exactly with their full permission of course!)

It was quite a good feat to pick up 105.5 from Blackrock and relay the MPX signal crystal clear without any of the handy notch filters of today, when you’re practially sitting on a transmitter .4 Mhz away!

The station was once referred to as ‘No Stereo Radio’ on Coast 103’s anorak programme by a disgruntled ex-employee.
